In the fast paced family game Galaxy Trucker, players begin by simultaneously rummaging through the communal warehouse, trying to grab the most useful part tiles to build their starship - all in real time!

Galaxy Trucker is played in two stages. First, the players work on their spaceship and then go on a space journey. In the construction phase, the players build their spaceship at the same time by collecting tiles. These tiles contain parts that you need to survive your space journey. These are, for example, rocket engines, batteries, aliens or lasers. While building you have to make sure that all parts can be linked together. Each part contains one or more outputs and not everything fits together well. You need enough space for the crew and cargo, but you also need to have sufficient defenses against all dangers in space. You also try to have as few open exits in the spaceship as possible.

The player who is the first to finish the spaceship is the first to go on a space journey and is therefore placed furthest on the space track. The other players have to hurry, the time for building is limited. When all players go into space, there are many different dangers lurking. For example, meteorites can make you lose parts of your spaceship. When all dangers have passed, it is time to award points. The player who has completed the furthest journey gets the most points. Points are also awarded for the player with the most beautiful ship and for the player who has transported the cargo the safest. The player with the most points wins!
